Chiara Di Franco

Born in Florence in 1992, she graduated in 2018 in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pisa with a thesis in Anesthesia and Emergency Medicine: Evaluation of Syndecan-1 and Hyaluronic Acid as biomarkers of glycocalyx alteration in SIRS patients . After the qualification (November 2018) she carried out a period of practical training at the University of Cordoba, Spain, in Anesthesia and Intensive Care (November 2018 – February 2019). From March 2019 to September 2020, you work as a contractor in the Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit at the Mario Modenato Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Since November 2020 she has been a PhD student in Veterinary Sciences under the supervision of Prof. Angela Briganti and her research topic focuses on "Clinical use of dexmedetomidine in Anesthesia and Intensive Care". From February 2022 to May 2022 she carried out a visiting period at the "University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine". She continues her training with specialization courses and participation in national and international conferences.
