Natasha Summerfield

Natasha discovered her passion for emergency and critical care medicine while working at the Royal Veterinary College's ECC unit in the UK.

In 2014, she moved to Zurich, Switzerland, to work at Zurich University Animal Hospital. She played a variety of roles at the hospital, including contributing to the development of the ICU and leading the new Emergency Department.
In 2018, she became Switzerland's first Veterinary Technician Specialist in Emergency and Critical Care (VTS-ECC).

In 2022, she helped launch a new Swiss Emergency Veterinary Nursing Diploma, and She serves on the accreditation board. She also serves on the EVECCS Nursing Scientific Board.

Natasha is passionate about improving animal care and veterinary nursing standards through education.

In her free time, Natasha enjoys spending time with her family, swimming in the lake, hiking, snowboarding, and generally being outdoors. She also enjoys listening to podcasts — lots of podcasts.
