Angela Briganti

Dr Briganti completed her DVM degree in 2002 at University of Pisa. In 2006 she completed her PhD programme with a thesis in veterinary emergency medicine and in 2009 she finished a post doc programme in anaesthesia.

From 2017 she is Associate Professor at University of Pisa where she is lecturer in Anaesthesiology, Emergency Procedures and Advanced Loco-regional anaesthesia.

She is the Director of the second level Master in Anaesthesia, Analgesia and Intensive Care for small animals.

She is part of the clinician staff at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the Department of Veterinary Sciences of Pisa University, where she is head of the Emergency and Critical Care Unite and of Anaesthesia sections.

Dr Briganti’s principle areas of research are: loco-regional anaesthesia, non-invasive ventilation, airways management, haemodynamics, point of care ultrasound.

She is author of several international publications and she has been invited as speaker to national and international courses and conferences.
