Duana McBride

Duana graduated from the University of Sydney, Australia, in 2004 with a thriving interest in emergency and critical care medicine. After working in general practice and emergency practice for several years, she undertook an ECC residency program at Murdoch University, Australia and obtained her diploma with the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care. As an ECC specialist, she has worked at the Royal Veterinary College in the UK, as well as in private referral practice. Duana has a passion for improving patient outcomes and staff wellbeing though human factors, completing a Masters in Healthcare Simulation Training and Patient Safety at the National University of Ireland in 2022, and currently works as a human factors training and development lead at Vetled. In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors, live music and some downtime with yoga and meditation.
