Dubrovnik Ruđer Bošković Airport (DBV)

Dubrovnik Airport, is the primary international gateway serving the southern region of Croatia, including the popular tourist destination of Dubrovnik. Located approximately 15.5 kilometers (9.6 miles) southeast of Dubrovnik city center, the airport plays a vital role in connecting the region to various European and international destinations, especially during the peak summer season.

As a relatively small but well-equipped airport, Dubrovnik Airport handles over 3 million passengers annually, with traffic increasing significantly during the tourist season. The airport underwent significant upgrades and expansion in recent years, improving the passenger experience with a new terminal building that opened in 2017. Given Dubrovnik’s popularity as a UNESCO World Heritage site and a major Mediterranean cruise destination, Dubrovnik Airport is a key hub for travelers exploring the Adriatic coast and nearby islands.

Most flights to Dubrovnik Airport are seasonal, with airlines offering direct connections to major European cities such as London, Paris, Frankfurt, and Rome. Besides European cities, Dubrovnik is the only Croatian city with direct flights from the USA. United Airlines has announced daily flights to Dubrovnik starting from May 1st 2025, until the end of September.
