Efrat Kelmer
Dr. Kelmer graduated from the Hebrew University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in 2001.
Following her studies, she moved to the US and completed a master’s degree in immunology, followed by an internship and a small animal ECC residency at the University of Columbia-Missouri, between the years 2003-2006. She continued on to serve as an Assistant Professor at the University of Knoxville, TN for 2 years, before returning to her home country, Israel, in 2008, to become the first ECC diplomate in her country. Dr. Kelmer served as department head for 10 years, and is currently a senior clinical lecturer. She continued to author and co-author publications and book chapters in various subjects related to critical care medicine and to lecture in local and international conferences. Dr. Kelmer joined the European College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care in 2016 and serves as a member of the credentials committee.
