Fiona Wilson

I qualified in 2014 with a foundation degree in veterinary nursing from Myerscough College. Since then I have primarily worked in out of hours clinics and referral.

I moved to Edinburgh in 2020 where I started to work in the small animal hospital ICU. I have gained a lot of valuable skills and knowledge since working here, and certified as a VTS in emergency and critical care in 2023.

I enjoy cases such as acid base and electrolyte disorders, where I can do a good calculation and monitor blood results and see changes as a result of the treatment provided. I also get great satisfaction from seeing the long stay patients finally leave the ICU and eventually go home.

In my spare time you will find me with my 2 chihuahuas and whippet, camping and hiking.
