Maxence Decellieres

After completing a master’s degree in ethology and ecology, Maxence Decellieres expanded his skills by pursuing training in physiology and pathophysiology to become a veterinary nurse. He began his career in the surgery and anesthesia department at the Atlantia Veterinary Hospital in Nantes (France) before joining the SIAMU (Intensive Care, Anesthesiology, and Emergency Medicine) at the Lyon Veterinary School (France).

During his three years at SIAMU, Maxence developed a deep passion for intensive care and veterinary emergency medicine, demanding disciplines where every moment counts. He fully dedicated himself to this field, deepening his knowledge and honing his skills in managing critical cases, emergency anesthesia, and multidisciplinary patient care. Particularly interested in renal failure, he also trained in extracorporeal filtration techniques, including dialysis, thereby broadening his technical expertise to address the needs of the most critical patients.

After last year’s rewarding experience of presenting a clinical case of an animal on mechanical ventilation following smoke inhalation during a fire, he decided to take on a new challenge this year by delivering a conference.

Driven by this momentum, he began veterinary studies last September, further pursuing his goal of enhancing his ability to tackle the complex challenges of animal health.
