Lisen Schortz
I work as Head of Patient Safety at AniCura, a veterinary group consisting of +400 small animal practices on mainland Europe. In my current role I have developed and implemented a company specific patient safety improvement system with the aim to reduce risk of patient harm and reduce second victim syndrome. In 2024, I will complete my PhD at the University of Lincoln, exploring the impact of incidents on different stakeholders in veterinary organisations. I studied biomedicine at the University and have a background in pharmaceutical production and project management. I am truly passionate about making a better world for pets and strongly believe that each and every person has the capability to make a difference.
